Wordle Cube Display Frame

thingiverse

Want to show off your daily Wordle score, but in person? Why let those yellow and green blocks stay confined to the digital realm? Let your co-workers, family members, neighbors, postal workers, and more see how you did. This frame was inspired by the masterfully-modeled Wordle Cube (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5207188) and is designed to work with it. Just print out chuckamcknight's cubes in different colors, and they can drop right into this frame. The frame is designed to accommodate two modes: slightly tilted and vertical. There are also punch-out holes in the back in case any blocks get stuck. I built this in Blender, and the initial frame just used a 1:1 subtraction of the original cubes, but I found that was way too tight. So, you'll find two different frames: One (frame_110.stl) is scaled by 110% which on my printer gives a good fit. You also have the original (frame_100.stl) which you can scale (just along XY) as needed. If you don't want to print a whole frame just to check the size, I've attached four smaller test cubes, scaled respectively at 100%, 105%, 110%, and 115%. Enjoy! ⬛
