World of Warcraft Samuro

A model of Warcraft 3’s Samuro, the orcish blademaster, in the style of World of Warcraft (post Cataclysm). With this model I wanted to try out Blizzard’s art style which puts heavy emphasis on baked ambient occlusion and light shining down from above the model. I did more hand painting on this model than I usually would do to add extra details onto flat areas which comes off really well on the metal panels on the sides of his legs. I also used this model to attempt an idle animation and I also expanded my rigging and skinning skillset in the process. Workflow: Zbrush > Topogun > 3DS Max > Substance Painter
