This flak was provided by Domenick D’Adamo, a bombardier in a B-24 during World War II, and was 3D scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner on August 16, at the Virtual Curation Laboratory. The flak cut the fuel line to one of the B-24’s engines in Domenick’s plane when on a raid north of Rome. Courtesy of Domenick D’Adamo.
