Worm and wheel designed in Inventor feature a standard 1/4-inch hex drive, reminiscent of an electric screwdriver. A holder secures the worm and wheel together at optimal spacing. The provided drawing illustrates the necessary dimensions for creating a custom housing on various projects. Note: When placing the worm on the build plate, it's best to orient the small pegs downward. These pegs may break off with the support material, but they successfully trick the slicer into printing the worm threads above the first layer, allowing the full thread form to be fully realized. Additionally, use a raft with this component to ensure that the lower threads receive adequate support and are printed in their entirety.
