I'm building a printer that uses cables to keep the bed level. in order to do so, I need to manage the tension on the cables. this worm-gear box design is based on how a guitar tunes the tension on its strings. to use, screw the box onto your frame, place the end of the cable through the large slot on the centre cog, and use the screw-driver slots on the side of the box to pull the cable around the cog. Print Settings Printer: Makibox Rafts: Yes Supports: No Infill: 25 Notes: print the box top upside down, and print the worm gear standing vertical. you don't need a raft, but I find it helps to make a clean break from the bed.
