RENDERING STL

Stainless steel trays commonly used in food processing.

Woven multiple bend mesh adds rigidity to the tray.

Problematic to manufacture, a spot welding rig would be ideal but with a small order of a few hundred pieces, this is uneconomical.
Our main fabricator for stainless steel products would not accept the order.
We ended up getting a less prestigious factory to TIG weld it manually, as expected the tray tends to warp upwards due to all the heat from welding mesh to top of the frame. Production guys were told to ensure a minimum level of flatness post-welding, not sure how they did so but it is probably nothing fancy.
Needless to say the product suffers from slight non-uniformity but within acceptable bounds.
Passivating to remove weld heat marks and increase corrosion resistance was also necessary due to the intended usage.
