WPL RBR/C Portal Axle Brace

WPL RBR/C Portal Axle Brace

So, been working on a little something... RBRC portal axles are pretty good, but, they have 3 issues. 1. The C-Hub design just is not meaty enough and cracks easily. (This is the main issue, and lots are cracked on arrival) 2. The 2 halves split the opposite way to standard WPL axles, and when you screw on the springs, it wants to spread the housings 3. They only fit "C" chassis cars, not the "B" chassis trucks. My hope is that RBRC get the part re-designed, but that is highly unlikely. Just couldn't be bothered with dealing with 'warranty', so, I've designed and printed a brace that can be glued in place to give the c-hub some much needed strength, brace the diff halves, and allows fitment to "B" chassis vehicles... These will require epoxing / jb welding on but the advantages should make it worth it. Both "C" and "B" chassis design have been incorporated into the hex brace. The 2x spring perch braces just require rotating the desired mount type to the top before gluing on. ie. If the cup shaped side is facing up, you can fit the D series leaf springs and if it is facing down, you can fit the C series multi link mount. The only down side is that the C series mount will sit 1.5mm higher off the diff. I've also included a C-Hub only brace.
