Wrist Lock for e-Nable Phoenix v2 Assistive Device Assembly

prusaprinters

Description: This revamped two-piece print locks the e-Nable Phoenix V2 assistive device at a 30deg angle for proper string tensioning between the palm and gauntlet.

Print Notes: PLA or any material is fine. Advise 30% infill or more if you want multiple uses. May need supports on for the slight lip on the palm-side lock piece, but I've not needed it.

Use Instructions: To use, simply remove the wrist pin at the left side joint and snap the larger piece on the palm then the other to the gauntlet and press together to lock the joint at 30deg, then tension the strings. Once the strings are at the correct tension to maintain the correct resting angle and securely tied, wiggle the locks off (it's a tight fit) and insert the wrist pin and cap.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This model is at 100 scale. Please scale to the appropriate size for the hand you are assembling. (i.e. if you're assembling a 120 scale hand, print a set of these locks at 120 scale to match).

For example, since I lead hand assembly events throughout the year for the Different Heroes org, I print a few sets at different scales and take them to events to make it easier for participants to assemble hands.

Happy hand printing!
