WW2 wooden blasting cap box latch

WW2 wooden blasting cap box latch

thingiverse

The lids of the 6 cap and 10 cap wooden holders for blasting caps used in the field by Engineers in WW2 were secured with a peculiar looking latch that cannot be purchased today. Those who are handy with wood can make the box themselves, but the latch will need a stand in to look right. These can also be used to restore an original box missing half or all of it's latch. This design is not functional, PLA wouldn't be strong enough to work like that. There is a slot in the lower latch to let the hook of the upper one pass through, but it will not hold.
