WWII Enigma Machine

WWII Enigma Machine

thingiverse

This is a WWII enigma machine, emulated with an Arduino-like controller. It emulates a military machine with both 3 and 4 rotor configurations. Rename Enigma.txt to Enigma.zip. It contains all the information you need, including KiCad files with gerbers for the PCB, OpenSCAD design for the case, Firmware for the microcontroller etc. All Rs and Cs and LEDs are 0805 (2012) parts. I do have a few extra PCBs, you can message me if you desire any (or try gmail :-). I might even build a board for you if you feel that is beyond your scope and within my means . The case should be printed in stages. pay attention to the middle part (Lampcase). This one should be printed upside down, because the top layer is very thin. Preferably print the lampmask in white, for better reflection of the LED emissions. File, drill or ream the holes. The smoother the better. Painting the inside silver also helps. the file "Lampboard.pdf" should be printed on thin white paper. This should be cut to size and fit between the lampmask and the lampcase. Aside from the electronic parts, you also need 4 M3 screws and some 3mm round styrene barstock (ebay) for the key stems. Also included is a terse manual for operation of the machine.
