Designed along with specific client needs, this Baofeng UV-5R 1" Ram Ball Mount leverages the precision of 3D printing and the off-the-shelf availability of stronger materials to create a solution that will maintain strength under the harshest conditions. The two product files are designed to be joined by a 3/8"x2" wood, aluminum, or steel rod. This allows the ABS or PETG of the parts to benefit from the shear strength of the rod material and give the greatest chance of survival under harsh conditions. As with our other mounts, we recommend printing from ABS or PETG at above 40% infill to ensure your radio does not come unexpectedly unmounted and be damaged by a part failure. The edges and connection points have been chamfered to balance material use with strength.
