Adapter for the new Würth 18V/20V M-CUBE Batteries to use with Bosch 18V Tools. Uses a cheap Makita to Bosch Adapter for ease of building it. (Only the Bosch part is needed; eBay or Aliexpress ~15$) Parts needed: -Makita to Bosch Battery Adapter "MT20BSL" https://www.ebay.de/itm/313421060622?hash=item48f959da0e:g:dpsAAOSwAblgK498 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000152302016.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.7e2446b27smRdg -6.3mm Male Crimp Terminals https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001385485973.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4db5Brjd https://www.ebay.de/itm/353234884872?hash=item523e709908:g:DBsAAOSwLSBfbvMO -Super glue -Epoxy glue (5min. Epoxy) How to build: 1. Print file according to print settings below. Trim bottom edges if nessesary. 2. Open MT20BSL Adapter. Desolder the wire from the Battery contact blades. 3. Pull the wires of the adapter through the printed part. Check polarity (see one of the pics or on M-CUBE Battery) 4. Put the wires in the crimp terminals and fix the wire on isolation with one of the metal "wings". Solder together with good heat and fresh solder. Soldered part should be round. You maybe have to trim a bit of the terminal between the solderpart and the flat terminal to make it fit in the holes of the printed part. 5. Pull back wires and bring the Terminals in aprox. right orientation. Rotate the terminals from the other side and slide in a M-CUBE Battery. Its fiddly but it should slide in the right place and the terminals shoud be in the battery contacts and be pushed all the way down into the contacts. 6. Use Medium Viscosity super glue or a small batch of expoy to fill in the hole on the side of the cables. Be carefull not to let the glue drip down into the contacts! Wait until dry. 7. Mix a larger batch of expoy and fill ~3mm over the holes and cables with epoxy. Should be sturdy and wide, but not more than ~5mm high because of the space inside the MT20BSL Adaper housing. Wait until dry. 8. Turn around and fill the hole on the terminal side with super glue. Be carefull not to get glue on the terminals. Putting a piece of tape over the terminals may be good idea. Also be carefull to not put to much glue there, the battery needs space to slide in there. Only fill the hole. Wait until dry. 9. Clean the surfare of the terminal with alcohol or water. 10. Mix a small batch of epoxy and put it on the notch of the printed part where the lip of the MT20BSL adaper goes. Tape that side temp. together. 11. Take two screws of the adapter and screw together the other side. Wait until dry. Remove tape. 12. Test the adapter for a few minutes and check the crimp terminal contacts. They should not get noticeably warm. 13. Enjoy.
