X axis belt tensioner for Creasee CS-30 printer, remixed from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3319649 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4888477 What I did: • Elongated the body, used the 2mm lowered pulley version to ensure belt alignment • Cut a section from body and bolt on the side facing the gantry plate • Remixed the bolt in 2 versions, one to fit the original flanged bearings and one to fit a 30 teeth idler pulley • Adjusted the bolt to be used with a grub screw and ensured clearance for the belt buckle to pass through Why: The Creasee CS-30 printer has two particularities rendering the commonly available belt tensioners for X axis useless: • Shorter X rail • Wider gantry plate What you need: 1. A grub screw M8x20 2. Use the original flanged bearings or use a 30 teeth GT2 idler pulley with 8mm bore 3. 8mm thread tapping tool 4. Optional: T-nut and screw How to make: 1. Print with as many walls as needed so that no infill is required. I've printed in PLA, with 0.6 nozzle, 6 walls, 6 bottom lines, 0.32mm layer, no supports. 2. Tap the thread for the 2 bolt holes in one go, starting from the rounded side and continuously progressing towards the flat side. The flat side should not be tapped all the way, to ensure the grub screw gets snug and flush with the flat side. 3. Slide the bolt into the body, insert the bearings or pulley from top or bottom, then screw the grub starting from the rounded bolt side. Please post your makes, I would love to see your prints, thanks!
