X-axis carriage upgrade for Replicator 1, 2, or clones provides a better belt anchor/lock design. This version offers two main configurations: one for lm8suu and another for lm8uu, ideal for upgrading to IGUS type linear bearings like the "IGUS RJ4JP-01-08". Since the new belt is locked from the top of the carriage, 3D printer parts are more rigid/solid; a 3D printed part of the original can easily break. The lm8uu version is designed with asymmetry in mind: 1) the limit switch is positioned on the right side and is triggered by the stepper motor, 2) the filament blower already occupies space on the left side, and this upgrade does not require additional space. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Normal Infill: 10% Notes: Print standing on the side to achieve better strength around bearings as plastic is extruded around bearing housing. For the belt lock, use 2x M3 8mm screws.
