X Carve 4" Dust Boot

I needed a dust shoe that could work with my 4" dust collector hose. I liked the original design, which was a remix of another, which was also good, but I have had issues in the past with gluing the bristles into the base of shoes, so I wanted to try to make a line of holes that should make the process easier. I also wanted a way to change a bit without having to raise the router, so I cut a slit in the back of the plate. Of course just using bristle strips would be easier, but there is not a good supplier up here in Canada, so here we go... I included the original connector for the arms, and my version which fuses the three parts into one. You have to remove the Z axis stepper to use mine, which is a pain, but I like the one piece better. I also included short arms and long arms. Long arms are good if you have raised your Y axis, but are taller and do not fit on some printers. This should work with the cnc4newbie 6" slide but I don't have one to be sure. I didn't leave holes in the base for fixing the base to the arms so I could get the placement perfect by drilling them out. Ive included a tool I made to cut the bristles all at the same length. There is a hole in the back of the arms to secure them to the gantry better with clips. I used "insert threads" but you may be able to just use a regular nut. I use a soldering iron to heat them up and press them in where necessary.
