X-Max Gap Shield

X-Max Gap Shield

prusaprinters

There are gaps in the front and back of the X-Max where screws and other small items love to go down and get trapped by the base. These shields will divert dropped items away from the gaps.

I printed them with some junk Matte PLA from Overture. I think any stiff filament will work.

The front shields just slide into place. The back shields can be just be set in place, but I left a small gap for some double sided foam tape to hold them to the back cover.

Supports are only needed for the Left and Right back shields to support the overlap ledge.
