Update/Attention! 26 September, 2016 It turns out there are two versions of the GWS S125-1T servo spec'd in this project. One has a 23 tooth spline and one has a 25 tooth spline. You need to find the 25 tooth version to use the coupler in this project. Additionally, the 25 tooth servo has a "Made in Taiwan" label and comes with a black pulley, the 23 tooth has a "Made in China" label and comes with a white pulley. The boxes are identical. One source for the the correct, 25 tooth servo I found is on ebay. Here is a link:http://www.ebay.com/itm/162092738102?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Update - All files updated - Aug 9, 2016 So, this second set of Mini Talon parts is based on the cover in the v1 parts and incorporates a servo carriage to hold a GWS S125 1T servo for a solid 360 degree pan. There are two versions of this new cover, the first has just the servo. The second adds a bracket for a Surveilzone HS1177 or an HS1184 FPV camera. I've made some improvements and added a bit to the GWS version pieces. I've never liked hanging the weight of a camera plus mounts and other gear on the end of a single servo shaft because of the stress and forces this puts on the servo shaft. Especially if you have a poor "landing". The solution? A servo coupler and bearing plate both sold by ServoCity.com. This takes all the stress off the servo and makes for an extremely solid pan platform. The servo coupler is a 6061 Aluminum piece which has a spline for either Hitec 24t or Futaba 25t. The Futaba coupler fits the GWS servo perfectly. All in all, the coupler, bearing, bearing plate and stand-offs add ~11g. In the picture you'll see nylon stand-offs which I have replaced with aluminum. Modified the Mobius mount plate, to make it possible to thread the power and video wires down the coupler tube. I also added 4 3mm holes to use as wire tie points. You will also need to make an 2mm x 4mm vertical slot in the coupler tube below the bearing if you want to thread the wires. Parts for Servo only: Front_Deck_Cover_plain_GWS_v2.stl GWS_Bearing_Plate_v2.stl GWS_Servo_Mount_v3.stl GWS_Mob_Mount_Short_v6.stl or GWS_Mob_Turret_Mount_v3.stl Parts for Servo plus FPV camera: Front_Deck_Cover__nose_cam_GWS_v2.stl GWS_Bearing_Plate_v2.stl GWS_Servo_Mount_v3.stl.stl GWS_Mob_Mount_Short_v6.stl or GWS_Mob_Turret_Mount_v3.stl HS1177_Cam_Mount_v2.stl or HS1184_Cam_Mount_v3.stl The extra tabs on the GWS_Servo_Mount_v1.stl are to increase glue area for strength. I like having the FPV cam in the nose and the Mobius on the pan as I have a camera switch and the Mobius is more slippery in terms of drag. Plus I get a very good recording of looking behind and around :) Additional hardware: 4x M3 x 15mm Aluminum stand-offs 4x M3 x 8mm Flat head screws 4x M3 x 8mm Nylon Philips head screws 2x M3 x 6mm Screws 2x M3 x 10mm Socket head screws 4x M2.5 x 6mm Screws 4x M2.5 Flat Washers 1x #535024, 3/8” x 5/8” x 0.156” Ball Bearing (servocity.com) 1x #525142, 25T x 0.375”OD x 1.00”L Servo Coupler (servocity.com) Happy printing!
