Remix of the awesome model by breakfastsandwich, and also the engine modification by souriceaux06. This has been modified to be scaled for 1/8" material (I used baltic birch plywood) and adjusted for a very tight kerf on Glowforge lasers. Also added some parts to avoid more dowels. You still need 1/4" and 3/8" dowels. See notes below: Definitely download the great instructions in the original model by breakfastsandwich In the instructions, ignore the 5/16" barrel and 3/16" skewer. Instead, cut (4) lengths of 1/4" dowel for the guns, approx. 135mm each. Also ignore the 1/2" dowel for the chamber and cap. Instead I included a bunch of rings in the files. For each gun (page 4 in the instructions), I used 7 of the rings (plus the gear looking ring) to make the Chamber, then 3 rings and one solid circle to make up the Cap. Drilling in plywood gets messy and you get tearouts pretty easily, but this design requires some drilling or you could modify the files more to cut the holes better depending on kerf and your laser. On page 18, where you assemble the wings all together, the instructions show a ring behind and in front of the wings; other parts in the model made it so the ring/bearing in front of the wings got in the way; so I only used the rings behind the wings (I removed the extra rings from the files I’m pretty sure). I used the same magnets as listed in the original file. I added round magnets at the edge of the wings to snap them shut. The round magnets, I stole from the fridge (and told my wife about after the fact…) I added yellow lines to score the outline of the rectangle magnets-just glued them on with super glue. Except for the guns, almost everything can be push assembled without wood glue. Lastly, the kerf is tight on some areas-having a small file or sanding stick handy will help.
