Xbox Adaptive Controller D-pad Replacement

Xbox Adaptive Controller D-pad Replacement

thingiverse

This is a replacement D-pad for the Microsoft Xbox Adaptive Controller. The stock D-pad that is on the controller can be difficult for someone with limited finger dexterity to manipulate. This is due to the smooth surface and how it is relatively in-line with the rest of the case. This 3d print has tactile tips on each direction of the D-pad, making it easier to depress with fingers or other parts of the hand including the palm. In order to install this part, careful disassembly of the case is required. This may void the warranty. The screws are located underneath the 4 circular rubber discs on the bottom of the controller. These can be removed with a T9 Torx screwdriver. Again, proceed with caution and make note of the placement of the additional screws that will need to be removed once the case is open. On a related note, the icons on the top of the XAC can be made easier to decipher by running a highlighter over the top of them.
