Xbox One Fan Cover Replacement

Xbox One Fan Cover Replacement

Background: I recently purchased a broken Xbox One from someone that had let chocolate sit on top of the fan cover while playing a game. Instead of opening the console up to clean it out, they ripped the plastic fan fins off the top. After purchasing it, I finished the job by disassembling everything, cleaning it and pulling off the remaining plastic numbs from the fan assembly. I added a photo of what it looked like as I was taking the xbox apart.

NOTE: This is not a fun mod for you to complete. This is simply a replacement to those who have lost their fan cover or removed it out of necessity.

I printed the fan cover in pieces on my Prusa Mini – 3 Pieces so the part with the holes was not split. I attached the pieces to the Xbox with double-sided gorilla tape. Pretty simple and effective.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Infill:

100%

Filament: Prusament PETG

Notes:

PETG is recommended due to heat exposure from the exhaust fan.
*Printed with Prusa Mini, which Thingiverse has not added to the dropdown.

Category: Video Games
