The fans kept dying on my XFX RX580 8GB GPU and I got tired of replacing them. This adapts from the XFX Hard swap fan to a 80MM standard case fan. The fan needs to be a 4 pin connector PWM controlled fan in order for the GPU to sense and control it properly. This requires dismantling the old "XFX Hard Swap Fan" which is a 90mm fan in a removable bracket. The blades and motor can be removed by pruing in the back hole under the sticker with a small screwdriver. It will pop out leaving a usable plastic mounting bracket for the adapter to connect to. Once dismantled, the fan wires can be soldered to the original fan's connector. Tools and parts Needed: Screwdrivers Soldering iron 80MM Case Fan(s) 4 Fan screws per fan 3 small zip ties per fan Please verify the pinout of your fan before connecting. If the colors do not match the ones I used, that does not mean it will not work, just that you may need to verify which colored wires are which. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE FROM THIS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
