This is a parabolic reflector for the xiaomi WiFi repeater used to increase the range of the Tello Drone, although it could be used for extending the WiFi range for any purpose. While my initial range test was only 100', I was getting WiFi interference at 78' and loosing my WiFi connection prior to using the parabolic reflector. At 100' my WiFi signal strength was still at 90db, so I am confident I can push the limits a lot further. I purchased a round metal enclosure which measured 100mm in height from the ductwork section at a Home Depot. It was easy enough to cut with a pair of scissors and the natural roundness of the ductwork provided an excellent fit for the 3D printed holder. I use Simplify3D to created the GCODE. A factory file is included. NOTE: updated to V7 to make the walls thicker where the repeater slips into the mount. Also updated the STL file to orient the print from bottom up. I had fixed in Simplify3D to print properly, but had not updated the STL file for uploading in that orientation. By the way, I took the Tello up to 100' today and out 178'. Still had clear video although was getting WiFi interference warnings. Here is a Youtube video of my initial test... https://youtu.be/BdAqB5eRZJI EDIT: 3/19/2020 - Added a stand to support the reflector. Glue it to the reflector with Acrylic glue. Assemble with a 20mm x 2.5mm screw and lock nut. In the photo is a set of ear pieces which has a 3500mah battery and USB slot I am using to power the xiaomi WiFi Extender.
