XLAB Versa Wedge Mount

XLAB Versa Wedge Mount

I use an XLAB Versa 200 for hydration on my triathlon bike. I was running into an issue where, because I pitch my aerobars up, the water sat at the back of the bottle where the straw couldn't reach it; so I'd make it halfway through the bottle and need to refill. I designed this mount to compensate for the pitch of the bars to bring the baseplate back to level. This also has the benefit of being more aerodynamic than having the baseplate pitched up. I use the 15 degree mount but I've also included a 20 degree version and it's not difficult adjustment to make it work for any angle. I've included the original Solidworks files so others can adjust as needed but if you need a specific angle and don't know how to modify it, just ask in the comments and I'll add the file. Additional notes: These mounts are designed with 4.8mm through holes for 5mm mounting screws. I used 2 stainless steel machine screws (with 1 washer each) for each mount, although I think 1 may be sufficient. I used a 3/16" drill bit to clear out the support material in each hole.
