The tree plans in DWG are from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14772). I just scaled it down and extruded. The light strip was created with a 3D Sketch on the assembly. Lights are just 2 spheres, with a curve driven pattern (160 repetitions). Modeled with Solidworks 2015. Animated and rendered with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition (SIM included). Gif made with GifApp. Model available in Solidworks 2015, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, 3D-PDF and 3DS.
