The XRD sample holder is designed for the STADI P COMBI developed by STOE. It is a powder diffractometer for high-throughput and combinatorial measurements in transmission geometry. The STADI P COMBI offers highest efficiency combined with all the advantages of the STADI P system. Instructions The XRD sample holder has been designed on AutoCAD and printed with the Stratasys Dimension 1200 es 3D printer. One of the requirements at which has to met, is the fact that the X-ray beam may not cause a reaction with the polymer substance out of which the plate is made. This restriction has two goals: first, avoiding the plate holder to fall apart, second, avoiding wrong interpretations when measuring a sample. The material should be as hard as possible to avoid abrasion after using it on a longterm basis. In order to meet these two requirements, the sample holder has been printed using ABS. This material is indeed very rigid and is also amorphous, so that it does not interfere with the X-ray beam.
