XY Compensation Hole Test

XY Compensation Hole Test

thingiverse

This test is to calibrate the XY Compensation setting in Slic3r (or "horizontal size expansion" in Cura). This setting offsets the tool path by a certain amount from the model in order to compensate for the size of the bead of filament. While some slicers automatically calculate this, others do not utilize this by default. "A new XY Size Compensation option was also introduced that allows to grow/shrink object shape in order to compensate for the measured error. Supposing your holes are smaller by 0.1mm, you can just enter -0.05 in this option to get them compensated (negative sign means shrink inwards)." Slic3r Read more here:https://github.com/MatterHackers/MatterSlice/issues/22 The size of the holes are 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and the external size of the model is 60mm by 15mm.
