Y-Axis Low Profile Belt Holder

Y-Axis Low Profile Belt Holder

thingiverse

I needed a low-profile y-axis belt holder. My experience with the Prusa parts hasn't been great: too much trouble getting the belt slot to fit, and the part is too tall. I designed this piece to use the belt itself to hold tension. By folding back on itself the teeth interlock to hold it tight. It's also extremely low profile, allowing me to mount my bed low to the carriage. For my build I used Uxcel brass threaded M3 inserts and M3x4mm screws to attach it to my Gulf Coast Robotics 220x220mm carriage (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B2649NN/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The mounting holes are exactly 40mm apart, so this does not fit the standard Prusa 200x200mm carriage.
