(initially posted as "endstops" -- which as was pointed out on the Taig yahoo group is probably poor naming) Limit switch holders for Taig mill. Very much work in progress. Absolutely no guarantees -- though would love feedback if you try them. These are designed with covered sides to help prevent swarf from getting into the switch. Hardware Needed per limit switch: Switch (I used Cherry E-61 switches) 2 - 10-24 x 7/16 screws (or 10-24 x 1/2 and 1 or 2 10-24 washers) 2 - 10-24 nuts 2 - 2-56 x 7/16 screws 2 - 2-56 nuts Instructions I printed mine solid @ 0.2mm height to minimize flex. Mount below table on the right, using the slot on the ways for alignment. One of the mounting holes for each switch is made into an arc so the amount the switch arm protrudes can be adjusted by rotating before screwing in place. Note the switch should be mounted inside the "box" -- it's meant to protect the switch from chips. I've uploaded the OpenSCAD code in case anyone wants to play with it. It's pretty ugly -- sorry about that.
