Y nodes, is a multi axes, open source, 3D printable joinery that was developed throughout a six week design project, in National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. Link to project documentation: https://www.behance.net/gallery/143731187/Y-Nodes  They require no post processing at all, and take around an hour on average to print, depending on the settings, and you could use them to make various structures. What makes them special is the unique form. The same node could be used in multiple places, without the need of having to print out different nodes for different intersections. The ability of the dowel/rod to pass through the node, gives it a possibiltiy to make countless structures.  They are strong, sturdy, light, cheap and incredibly easy to assemble and disassemble, making them ideal for many use case scenarios.  I've attached a photo of a cabinet I made, and still use, to give you an idea of the things that are possible to make through this. If you do end up trying some thing out, please let me know how they turned out.  Here's an instructable on how to make the cabinet using these nodes: https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Make-a-Cabinet-With-Y-Nodes-3D-Printed-Join/
