My 2nd version of the yacht vent for the competition: http://blog.grabcad.com/2011/08/usd2000-prize-for-a-new-yacht-deck-vent-design/ The concept is the same with my first attempt. Yacht Vent for competition I have added a spring that secures the vent in the selected position and a screw for the knob to stop in fully open and fully closed positions. I have also changed the top cap and made dolphin shaped openings to it.
