A "separation" remote head mount for the Yaesu FT-857D. Final version. This version uses a "bump" on the end to keep the head in place. It also has holes on the top and bottom to mount to a desk, unlike the Yaesu version. Of course, this is also about five times larger than the Yaesu version, but it is working very well for me. Note: Some people are saying that their remote head fits differently. This model fits quite well on mine, but you may have issues. The OEM head mount must somehow take this into consideration, so if you have modifications please post them to thingiverse and let me know so I can link to it. If anybody tries one, please let me know how it works. http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/AT-S-26-6%2F6%2FB-25/A1662R-25-ND/1972704 According to the reviews, you can use this cable as well: https://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-09600-Straight-Modular/dp/B0002J1SUU 73 de K5EHX Print Settings Printer: XyzPrinting DaVinci 1.0 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm layer Infill: 30% Notes: For the DaVinci I use "Excellent" mode, which is slow with 0.2mm layer and 30% infill. How I Designed This I made this in TinkerCAD and used MeshLab to double check the output. Lots of measuring and fitting to the radio to see what worked and what did not.
