There's no obvious location to attach a licence plate or lights to the Yakima Holdup 2. This adds some holes to mount stuff to. 2x M8 nuts and 2x M6 nuts required. The nut holders go behind the bottle opener. f3d files included for you to adjust hole spacing as required.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Wanhao

Printer:

Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Infill:

thicc

Notes:

1x main body, 2x nut holders

Post-Printing =============
Before installation

Make sure the position of the outer most bike holder is set as these bolts will be difficult to access after installation.

Installation

Print 1x main mount part. Insert M8 nuts into the nut captives. There are 2 perpendicular to each other to mount lights or a licence plate in either open or folded positions.rnrn(optional) secure the nuts in place with an M3 hex socket nut and bolt. This is useful if the M8 nut is fitting loosely.rnrnPrint 2x nut holders. Insert M6 nuts into the captives.rnrnRemove the bottle opener from your rack and press the nut holders into the holes behind the bottle opener. The notches should face outwards. These holes are normally a pin receptive for the +2 extension.rnrnPush the bottle opener back in. It will help hold the nut holders in place.rnrnSlide the mount over the bottle opener. You may need to sand or file the big hole down a bit if it's a tight fit.rnrnOnce fully inserted, secure with M6 bolt (but not too tight). Hex socket head bolts will work best as I did not design it with space to fit a socket. I recommend using a washer or printing one (Max OD 12.5mm) as you are fastening down perpendicular to the layer lines and it will be prone to cracking if over-tightened.

Category: Sport & Outdoors
