this is supposed to be schezo wegey's sword of darkness for a cosplay i'm working on but really it could be any ol sword if u change the colors around you'll need a 22mm diameter dowel to serve as the grip, but that's the only mandatory part that isn't printed. blade: ----- the blade is designed to be hollow so that it looks cool in transparent filament. you could probably put some lights in there too you can use infill if you want more durability tho, and it looks fine in solid colors the part that wraps around the dowel can be a bit finicky, so make sure it fits properly before gluing it together. it should be slightly loose the vase mode model is designed to be as clear as possible, but needs a cut from a table saw to fit together properly. cut just outside the channel on the base of the blade. smooth and polish the insides before you glue the two halves together if you want maximum clarity crossguard ---- the crossguard should be printed with the points going directly up, with supports and some extra floors. it looks a little gross without sanding and painting but it's not super noticeable when you're holding it one of the models has two spots for 10mm rhinestones. don't print that one if you dont want the rhinestones, it looks ugly without them pommel --- if you're painting your sword or want a transparent gem, print the base, gem, and optionally the aligner. otherwise i recommend printing the whole model, and switching colors about 30mm up.
