Yet another Lithophane Lamp
thingiverse
This custom-made lamp is a unique blend of two designs from Thingiverse, tailored to perfection with additional customization to meet my exact requirements. It was a thoughtful Christmas gift for my mother, and I managed to print 16 beautiful lithophane panels featuring family photos before time ran out. All parts can be printed as-is without supports, but if you're using rainbow filament like me, you might want to flip over the top piece and add supports to ensure a smooth color transition. I used 0.2mm layers for the lamp itself and 0.12mm layers for the lithophane panels. To give the base added weight and stability, I printed it at 40% infill density. However, if you're using a lightweight cord, you might not need that extra infill density. The lithophane panels were generated using the online tool at http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/, with the following settings: Outer Curve, Positive Image, Maximum Size 100mm, Thickness 3mm, Border 3mm, Thinnest Layer 0.8mm, Vectors per Pixel 4, Base/Stand Depth 12mm, and Curve 90. Before generating lithophanes, images should be cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio to fit snugly into the lamp shade. For the base and cord, I used these Amazon products: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GUBCNRK/ And for the bulb: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T8DXMPN/ Important note: Make sure to use an LED bulb in this lamp, as incandescent bulbs generate too much heat.
