Z Axis Fine Adjustment

An alternate version configured for an Optical Endstop can be found in link below. I finally did it. I finally got around to making my own version of a compact z axis adjustment. The knob was created using the same knurled geometry from the MakerBot Knurled Surface Finishing Library Nut and Bolts. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9095 The photos vary slightly from the files (approximately 4mm shorter). Once assembled, it worked well except that the screw would turn. To prevent the screw from turning I increased the height slightly and added a hex rib inside the upper plastic part for a nylon locknut. A regular 3mm nut is used inside the knurled knob. There is also a bed leveling spring installed to maintain pressure. Enjoy! You can find an alternative version using an Optical Endstop Sensor here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4074513. You can find my limit switch supports here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2894364 and my hot bed glass retainers here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2897314 This is the same Bed Leveling Knob I have posted as well.
