Z-Axis Nut Holder/Support Printrbot LC

The design of the nut holder on the PrintrBot LC is very cheap and not very stable. Here I have designed a nut holder that can with a few drilled out holes can be installed on the top of the nut support instead of on the bottom. You may have to change the settings on your printer. I used a layer height of .2mm and it turned out good. If you decide to modify this bracket do not make the walls any thinner than the 3 mm that they are as this will make them weak. I know because i have done it already. 3mm seems to do well. I put these together using Solidworks 2014 but you can use the software to your liking to change the design to your liking. This mod has also helped with my calibration and rod wobble. If you have any questions be free to send me a message. i will answer them when i receive them. Instructions Well first I sat there looking at my printrbot for some time watching the rod wobble as the z-axis made every move. It bugged me and i looked closer at where the nut was placed. Very bad design if you ask me. I got out the calipers and started to design. i was tired of my prints being out of calibration and one side of the print being higher than the other. Once i had the measurements i put the dimensions into solidworks 2014 and designed away. Took a few hours to get it right and printed it 5 times before everything was correct. The left side needed to be different from the right and all i had to do was take out some of the wall.
