Zelix Cuff

Zelix Cuff

thingiverse

This cuff is designed to fit on the Kwawu 2.0 prosthetic arm system. People have said it is much more comfortable and stays in place better. The knob is clicked past a boss to unlock it so it can be tensioned and then clicked back to its original position to lock it. Print up to three tensioners depending on how many strings you are using in the hand. The cuff must be thermoformed to go around the upper arm. Padding should be used, but is shown being tested with no padding. We used 100 lb fishing line: FIOTOK Braided Fishing Line 500M 546Yds Stronger Multifilament Braid Wire for Saltwater Draft instructions are included. Big thanks from the whole e-NABLE Evansville team to Nate Munro for making the Helix Cuff from which this was inspired, Jaq Buchanan for the great Kwawu II design, and the e-NABLE Community for providing the all the open-source designs that got us started. Thank you to the Ivy Tech Foundation for funding the 3D printer and supplies needed to make this design.
