This is a little project to build a smart connection of old hifi systems with Spotify Connect. No special Bluetooth adapter necessary, it works just with WiFi. In the first stage I used my discarded Centrino laptop with Ubuntu server and Spoticon. This is very easy to install but very slow on old machines. Sometimes I got some interrupts and the 3.5 mm jack connection to my hifi system is very quiet (I don't know why, Alsa is on highest level). And there a 15,4" somewhere in the living room ..... For the new smart connection I use: - Raspberry Pi Zero W(H) - GPIO Edge Extension - HiFiBerry DAC+ zero - Noctua fan NF-A4x10 5V (connected to 3.3 Volts) - OLED 0.96" to show the current song, time and CPU temperature - push button 16 mm (as power off) - some wires - counter sunk screws M3 x 10
