Zilla stands out by its softness and lightness in shape, color and touch, thereby amplifying the qualities of the paper it holds. Both to add to the aesthetic interest and to improve functionality, a white powder coated steel is used. The main material is a polyurethane foam that is soft to the touch but sturdy enough to hold the paper towel roll. It protrudes through the bottom ring so the product stands on the foam, giving it more grip. The eye at the top adds portability and visual interest. It can be squeezed in to fit through the cardboard tube while replacing the roll of paper. Perhaps the most innovative feature of this design is the helix-shaped arm made of spring steel and a foam backing. It keeps a light pressure on the paper to prevent unrolling and to aid tearing off sheets.
