A low cost and portable mechanical ventilator are based on SOZU/Shishi-Odoshi mechanism to control a breathing bag’s inflation and compression. Only the compressed air flow is needed as the power to drive the ventilator. The circular design of the SOZU will make the movement more stable and easy to be fabricated. The entire system can be prototyped by a 3D printer with off-the-shelf components.
