Simple construction blocks that connect using zip-ties. Updated the files. Now with Parameters. The .scad files will let you define your own custome zip plates. Instructions This is a construction set that allows you to make a platform for a robot, circuit board holder, etc. You use 4" zip-ties to connect them. (although you can change parameters to use other sizes) My plan is to create many different size plates, spacers, stand-offs, wire management, and hopefully more. At is basic you use two zip-ties, on the first zip-tie is used to connect all the pieces in a straight line, the second zip-tie only he head is needed and is used to snug all the pieces together. I guess the question that everyone will have is; why? Well, I don’t have a bunch of screws and nuts lying around. Other constructions sets don’t have all the parts that I will want. Hopefully I will have a good set of items and maybe other people will also have ideas. I will be working on the .scad files to make them with parameters. I have create a .scad file that will let you have full control of the Zip-Plate. It allows features at each of the spacing locations. Features include: Solid, Big hole (useful to create contiguous holes in a board), zip tie hole, zip tie hold rotated 90 degrees, a round hole the size of the zip tie width, or a custom size hole. You will have to play with it a bit, but all you have to do is change the values in the big matrix. It can support a board at 205mm by 205mm if your spacing is set to 5mm.
