Zombie Apocalypse - Game Pieces

Zombie Apocalypse - Game Pieces

thingiverse

These are the pieces for the boardgame I've published at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:229954. They are 17mm (0.6") tall - Pretty small. They were created with Designspark by drawing the outline in 2D mode, pulling it to 10mm then rounding the edges. They are a single colour print in PLA. The coloured eyes are 1.75mm filament fed through the eye holes. Instructions Print several of these at once - I was doing them in batches of 6. I made the eye-holes slightly larger than the 1.75mm filament but found that some gave a good fit and some were slightly too small, depending on the filament I was printing with. If you don't have a 1.75mm drill, I found the ideal tool to correct the hole size was a pair of compasses of the type pictured : Retract the pointy bit and set the compasses to minimum radius. The thread will screw into the undersize holes and cut a thread as it goes. Keep screwing once the piece meets the knurled nut to strip the thread, then a couple of dozen turns more. Unscrew and the filament will be a slightly loose fit through the hole. Glue the filament in using thin cyanoacrylate adhesive and use a pair of flat-edged cutters to cut off flush.
