Zonestar P802M Cable Chain System
thingiverse
I wanted to create a customized cable chain setup for my Zonestar P802M printer. To achieve this, I adapted the standard cable chain link design to accommodate the connectors, ensuring they could fit seamlessly through the links. Using Sketchup, I designed custom mounting points to support the modifications. As it turned out, printing without supports, rafts, or brim was entirely feasible. Fortunately, all the necessary hardware came with the printer, except for the carriage mount screws which required a slight modification. I've attached the .Skp file for anyone interested in exploring the custom setup I employed. Additional pictures will be shared once the project is complete. Update: 9/20 - The X-Axis Motor chain installation was finished and those photos have been posted as well. Important Note: It's essential to print four locking cable chains and one locking cable chain "2". For the Z-Axis travel (X Stepper Motor), I used twenty chain links, while for the X-Axis travel (extruder carriage), I employed twenty-nine chain links. After installing the cable chain setup, it's recommended to re-level the printer to ensure optimal performance.
