Zoom H2n Isolator

Zoom H2n Isolator

I was looking for a stereo recorder. I wound up buying a Zoom H2n recorder. My decision was based a lot on this recording of a Tool concert.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWWTtdsbmG0 This guy used a cup holder and got phenomenal results! Now imagine using your 3D printer and some rubberbands to improve on the cup holder idea!! This thing is not finished. The holes for the rubberbands aren't quite wide enough and inserting the rubberbands is tough. I am going to widen the openings up. Functionally though, it is pretty awesome. I will be updating this as I get all the issues worked out with the rubberbands. I added a hole on the bottom for a 1/4" 20 threads per inch ultrasonic insert. I was able to buy them here:http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/fasteners/Threaded-Inserts/ultrasonic-tapered-inserts/1-4-20-tapered-ultrasonic-insert-single-vane-th-420-sv I don't have an ultrasonic insertion tool but a soldering iron works just fine. This will allow the holder to be mounted on a standard tri-pod mount. I use Onshape for my CAD tool.
