Zoom H4n Un-Ripoff Battery Cover

Tired of spending a fortune replacing lost H4n battery covers? Where I work (Ryerson University) we certainly were! So, I created a robust cover. No only does this replace the $14+ US$ cover (ripoff!) it provides access to the H4n stamina button. It's simple to print and does not require complex rafts, supports etc. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Who cares Infill: As heavy and robust as you want to make it. I'd say 15% should do it. 25% would be really strong Notes: Didn't need to use rafts or supports. Then again, my PrintrBot is really well levelled. Used that "glue" from 3DSystems (for a Cube 3D) and painters tape. Printed at 45 mm/second. Probably could have done it faster but I wasn't in a rush and the finish was important. Very clean results How I Designed This 123D Design I created this in 123D Design. Took two prints and a lot of fairly tedious measuring to get the battery cover inset to fit snug. Other than that it printed on the PrintrBot Simple Metal without incident. I've add the 123D Design file if you want to modify it further. Edges are beveled to avoid hurting the delicate hands of the students. Buy a bunch of 1/4 screws on the web and you are good to go!
