Zortrax M200 Filament Aligner

Hi there! I designed the aligner after dealing with issues related to filament feeding into the extruder. Initially, I suspected clogs, then temperature control problems possibly caused by inadequate covers. Swapping spools was also attempted. However, replacing the entire hot-end didn't resolve the issue. I decided to analyze each component step-by-step to determine the cause of the problem. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the hole holding the filament tube has a "bottleneck" shape and is too narrow for the tube, resulting in excessive friction on the filament. This excess friction eventually becomes too great for the extruder gear to handle, causing issues with feeding the filament. After installing the aligner, the filament flows freely into the extruder without resistance, allowing it to work effectively. As shown in the attached photos, a gap now exists between the aligner and the extruder hole. I hope you find this solution useful! Cheers, JesusRT Print Settings: Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Yes Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.14mm Infill: SOLID Notes: The print settings I used are attached with the Z-ABS zcode file.
