When she returned home after participating in the digital card tournament and earning her title as "Digital Queen," Reimu was met with a bizarre occurrence. Three glowing screens appeared on her cash card machine, and soon many digital creatures from the digital world eagerly sought to be taken in by Reimu as their master. However, Reimu's intention was only to take one truly powerful digital creature into her fold. It was then that Blue Card appeared amidst Reimu's scattered digital cards, and the silhouette of a Youkai Fox appeared on the screen. Reimu used Blue Card to swipe it once more at the cash card machine, which transformed into a blue arc light machine, and the Youkai Fox suddenly materialized before Reimu's eyes. Although Reimu had obtained a Youkai Fox, she did not treat it as anything other than a tool for eliminating enemies and downloading their data.
